A Dream Come True

When we learned that a rare piece of property like this was available for sale, we quickly had it under contract to purchase.

We knew about the water wells on the property, and we knew about the 150+ year old oak trees. That was enough for us to get started on this new adventure.

The little rock house that stood strong would have to be remodeled and once the purchase was final, we began our work. The bones of the original house are still present, with the addition of approximately 1,000 square feet.

We purchased the property in 2005 and spent one year redesigning. The construction was completed in September of 2006. Mr. Tim Akens, West Texas Custom Builders, partnered with his brothers, Akens Brothers Construction, did the project, handcrafted millwork and cabinets. True professionals.
